Massena Fire responded with Engine 30 around 2:00 p.m. for a reported electrical fire in the switch yard at the New York Power Authority.  Rescue 77 was later dispatched to transport dry checmical extinguishers and foam to the scene.  Most Massena Firefighters were held at the guard shack while the extent of the fire was investigated and then sent back to the station.  A small number of personnel remained on scene with a minor electrical fire.  Due to the minimal damage and lack of danger to surrounding equipment a attack and safety plan was developed in conjuction with New York Power authority personnel and eventually the fire was extinguished with a small amount of foam.
